Here are just a few of the many reasons massage should be in your regimen:

pain relief, stress reduction, improved mobility, joint flexibility, stimulates the release of endorphins,

stimulates the flow of fluid in the lymphatic system which can improve natural immunity.

Massage may also help prevent and treat: arthritis, sports injuries, work-related and repetitive strain injuries,

anxiety, depression, poor posture, and post-surgery swelling.

When should I avoid getting a massage?

Do not schedule an appointment if you have a fever, cold, or a skin condition that is contagious. Also you should not get a massage during the first trimester of pregnancy or undergoing intensive medical treatments such as active chemotherapy. If you have a serious medical condition and you are unsure if a massage would be safe for you, please speak with your primary care provider to get approval first.

What should I expect during my first massage visit?

Your therapist will ask you in-depth questions to establish which areas you would like focused on or if there are any specific conditions needing to be addressed. It is important to let us know all health concerns and medication so that your therapist can adapt your session to your specific needs without causing any harm. It is also important to specify any allergies so that your therapist may adjust the oil or cream being used during your visit.

How long should my massage be?

Time flies by when you are on the table.  We recommend 90 minutes to get the full body as well as any focus work you want done.

What time should I arrive for my session?

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment.  Your allotted massage time always starts whenever you get on the table,.  We don't want you to feel rushed if you are a few minutes late, however please respect the next client's scheduled time after your massage.

If you do arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.

What should I wear for a massage?

Some people prefer to keep their underwear on during a massage, while others choose to be in the nude.

Regardless of what you choose, your massage therapist will ensure that you are always properly draped.

Any advice for getting an even better massage?

Your massage experience is all about you. If you would like anything changed i.e. the pressure, areas worked, temperature, music, etc… speak up!   If something feels good, let us know, if something doesn't, let us know.  You will not our feelings by asking for something that will make you feel more comfortable.  We are professionals and have had a lot of practice, however you still know your body better than us.
